Software Security AI: AI-Driven Cybersecurity Solutions
Our IT security audit services are an independent assessment of how exposed your production software is and where it stands against regulation such as GDPR and NIS2. Senior WWG engineers check access control, data handling, dependencies with known vulnerabilities and the delivery process, and hand you a ranked account of real exposure with the remediation each finding needs. It is for CEOs, CTOs and IT managers who have to decide what to fix and in what order.
Definition
What are IT security audit services
IT security audit services are an independent assessment of how exposed a software system is: how access is controlled, how data is stored and moved, which dependencies carry known vulnerabilities, and how the delivery process handles secrets and change. The result is a ranked account of real exposure and the remediation each finding needs, not a checklist of controls.

WWG provided custom software development services for an ICT company. The team designed and developed an innovative ICT software system capable of supporting RAG services.
The engagement
The security audit in concrete terms
- Duration
- Set in scoping, according to the perimeter: systems and environments involved, data processed, regulations that apply.
- Start
- After the perimeter is agreed and read access is in place. Production does not stop.
- Who does the work
- Senior WWG engineers, with a named owner accountable for the engagement through to delivery.
- What you provide
- Read access to code, environments and configuration, existing documentation, a few hours of interviews, one contact person.
- Output
- A report with vulnerabilities, misconfigurations and regulatory gaps ranked by severity, a remediation roadmap, a hand-over session.
- Format
- Standalone, fixed-scope engagement. Remediation can follow in-house or as expert-led work with WWG.
The price is set before we start, in the scoping conversation, based on the perimeter and the regulations that apply. We do not publish a price list. Remediation, if requested, is quoted separately on the basis of the report.
Comparison
A security audit and the alternatives
When the question of how exposed we are comes up, four instruments with similar names and different purposes are usually on the table. This table says what each one is for, so the choice is made on the answer you need.
| Criterio | WWG security and compliance audit | Penetration test | Regulatory consulting and certification | Vulnerability scanner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | CEOs, CTOs and IT managers who have to decide what to fix and in what order. | Security teams that want to know whether an attacker gets in. | Companies that must obtain or keep a formal certification. | Technical teams that want recurring automated checks. |
| What it covers | Code, dependencies, configuration, data, delivery process and position against GDPR, NIS2 and applicable standards. | Entry points reachable from outside at the time of the test. | Policies, procedures and documentation the standard requires. | Known vulnerabilities in packages and exposed services. |
| Duration | Set in scoping, according to the perimeter. | A few days per agreed perimeter. | Months, with periodic audit cycles. | In continuous use. |
| What you get | A ranked account of real exposure, the remediation each finding needs, a roadmap. | A report of successful exploits and access paths found. | A certificate or attestation, based on documentation. | Lists of warnings, often long and without business priority. |
| When it makes sense | When you need to know what is really exposed and what that means for your obligations. | After known findings are closed, to verify the remaining surface. | When a customer or a tender requires formal certification. | As a recurring baseline, not as a replacement for the engineering read. |
The four options are not mutually exclusive: a security and compliance audit is often the first step, because it says where to focus penetration testing, certification and tooling.

Around a compliance review
Compliance is proved in the code, and the technical reading behind it is a source code audit. Findings feed into technical risk mitigation and stay under control over time through IT maintenance services.
